LEAGUE BUILDER
The League Builder lets you create a new baseball universe by combining teams from different eras, such as the 1927 Yankees, the 1955 Dodgers, and the 1986 Mets.
To add a team, first select a season, then choose a team and click the 'Add Team' button.
The League Builder requires an even number of teams before you proceed. If you add less than 12 teams, they will all be put in one league. Otherwise they will be split into two leagues. There is a maximum of 30 teams. After using the League Builder, you can use the League Editor to create divisions or move teams around.
Technical Details
The League Builder works by using Baseball Mogul's "Roster File" tool. After you have selected all your teams, Baseball Mogul copies each team's list of player IDs from the "input/rosters" folder to a temporary version of "YYYY-Rosters.csv (where YYYY is the current season, such as '2009' for Baseball Mogul 2010). If you wish to adjust which players are considered part of each team, you can edit these files.
Before processing the roster file, the League Builder loads Universe.mog from the Baseball Mogul folder, in order to establish basic league parameters. If this file is missing, the League Builder will not work.
If a player is listed with more than one team, he will be placed on the last team selected. You can of course use Commissioner Mode to move players after the league has been created, or even to create a 2nd copy of the same player.
