CHANGE POSITION DIALOG

The Change Position Dialog lets you change the position of a player on your team.

To access the Change Position Dialog, click on a player's position in the Scouting Report.

To see how a player might perform at other positions, select different positions in the "Change To:" box.

These ratings are affected by the quality of your Scouting Staff. If you have poor scouting, you may have trouble judging how well a player will adapt to a new position. Generally, younger players will adapt better to position changes than older ones.

To change a player's position to the new one shown, click the Change Position button. Note that this change has permanent effects on your player that cannot be undone.

Changing a Pitcher's "Position"

Pitchers are treated differently that position players in terms of "changing" their position. If you want to turn a major league starting pitcher into a reliever, put him in the bullpen in a closer or short relief role. As the player pitches more in his new role, his Endurance Rating will adjust to match his usage. You can do the same thing in reverse to convert relievers into starters.

To change how a minor league pitcher is used, use the Change Pitcher Usage Dialog.
