OUTPUT STATS
The Output Stats command is located
under the Tools
Menu. This feature lets
you write a variety of data in one of several formats to files on
your hard drive (in your Baseball Mogul install
directory).
| Note: Baseball Mogul does not
support sending data directly to your printer. To print data,
you will need to first output the data to a file and then print
the file using another application (such as Microsoft Excel
or Microsoft Works). |
Select player stats from This Season,
Last Season, Minor Leagues (most recent season) or Career totals.
In Commissioner Mode, you can also
output Predicted stats.
The statistics are broken into four
categories: Batting, Pitching, Defense, and Vital Stats.
Vital Stats output player information
(like age and team), but no baseball statistics. Therefore, the
Stat Category dropdown box is disabled.
When you print out a set of stats,
you can choose from four formats:
| Tab
Delimited |
Perfect
for reading with Microsoft® Excel Spreadsheet program |
| Comma
Delimited |
Friendly
to most spreadsheet programs |
| Text |
Good
for Word Processors or standard ASCII editors |
| HTML |
Great
for your Web Browser, and for posting to the Web |
Baseball Mogul sends the information
to a file on your computer. This file will be saved in the Output
directory of your Baseball Mogul installation. You can also have
it print directly to your printer, or have it open up a viewing
program.
To simply create a file that will
be saved in the Output directory, without viewing or printing it
at this time, don't select either Print File Now or View File Now.
Leave both these boxes blank.
To print out the file, select Print
File Now. To open up your default program to view the file format
you've selected, and immediately view the output, select View File
Now.
We recommend that you view the file
before you print it. This gives you an opportunity to make sure
the file is in the most readable format possible before you put
it to paper.
