ADDING A NEW TEAM
Note: This feature requires Commissioner Mode, and cannot be performed in the middle of a simulated season. Baseball Mogul limits each league to 21 teams, and limits your entire baseball universe (both leagues) to 40 teams.

  1. Go to the League Editor located under the League Menu.
  2. When prompted to turn Commisioner Mode on, hit yes.
  3. Select 'Add New Team'.
  4. Type in the Home location of your team. It can be the name of the city, or the name of the state or region the city is in.
  5. Select a Nickname for your team. For example, I might choose Hawaii as my Home, and Sharks as the team Nickname. My team will be called the 'Hawaii Sharks'.
  6. Once you have the home name set and the nickname set, choose a three letter abbreviation for your team. In the case of Hawaii, I've chosen HON because the team will play in Honolulu.
  7. Select a Home City for your team. (You can add a city to the game if your city isn't listed).
  8. Select which division you'd like this team to play in.
  9. Set fan loyalty (A through F) and Farm System quality (A through F).
  10. Choose if you'd like this team controlled by the computer, or by you.
  11. Hit Refresh to add your team to the system.
  12. Hit 'Done' - the game will incorporate the new team into the system. Your team will be filled with farm league players, so you might want to make some trades and sign some free agents before you simulate games.

(To configure the stadium for the new team, use the Stadium Editor)

Relinquishing Control of a Team

If you would like to control your new team, you may also wish to stop controlling your old team. Let's say you started a game controlling Anaheim. You decided you wanted to add the Honolulu Sharks and see if you could take them to the top, and you no longer wanted to control Anaheim. If you want your new team to become the team only team you're controlling, set it so it's Human Controlled. Then, in League Editor, select the team you're currently controlling (in this example, Anaheim), and select Computer Controlled. Hit Done, and the system will reset with you controlling the new team, instead of the team you started the game with.
