WELCOME TO BASEBALL MOGUL!
Baseball Mogul 2010® is the 12th edition of the award-winning game that puts you in complete control of any professional baseball team. Baseball Mogul is the baseball game for fans who want their success on the field determined by their strategy, not their reflexes.
Begin in any year you choose, from 1901 to 2009, with the full roster of your favorite team -- or an entirely fictional team of your own creation. Negotiate trades and sign free agents to build a dynasty.
Baseball Mogul also gives you complete control on the field: the most realistic baseball simulation you can buy, combined with an easy-to-learn interface and thousands of stats at your fingertips. With customized ratings and head-to-head stats for every player, you have everything you need to win the battle of wits between batter and pitcher.

PLAYING THE GAME
To start a game of Baseball
Mogul, click the 'Start a New Game' button in the Baseball Mogul
startup screen. This will bring up the New Game Dialog. For more
information about the new game options in Baseball Mogul, check
the Advanced Options section.
1. Set up your game with the New Game Dialog
Select difficulty level: Fan is easiest,
Coach is moderately challenging, Manager is tough, and Mogul is extremely
difficult.
Select your team and enter your
name. This will be the name shown if you reach the Mogul Hall of Fame.
Hit 'Play', and the first season schedule will set up.
2. Make changes to your Team
You can control lineups, bullpen, trades, free agents, scouting reports,
and budgets through a series of menus.
Team Menu
The Team menu lets you alter your lineup, pitching roster, defensive roster,
as well as viewing other teams' lineups.
Players Menu
The Players menu lets you search for specific players, scout and sign
free agents, propose trades with other teams and check any new inductees
to the Player Hall of Fame.
Budget Menu
The Budget menu allows you to control your expenses and revenue. The Tickets
Dialog lets you choose what price to charge for tickets, and the Broadcast
Dialog sets what broadcast rights you'd prefer for your team. The Expenses
dialog lets you set your scouting, farm system and medical expenses, and
see how you rank among the other teams.
3. Play Games
Once you've prepared your team, you
can play a game, or a series of games with the 'Play' option. This allows
you to run a day, week, a month, half a season, or even a whole season
of games in just minutes.
Regardless of when it is during the year, you should always come back to the Play Menu when you are ready to move forward on the calendar.
To play games live, in either "Play-By-Play" or "Pitch-By-Pitch" mode, you need to first click on the game you want to play in the Calendar Screen. Then use the Play Menu to advance the season to that game.

others in both leagues.

The Calendar
screen shows any month with one click, and lets you choose which games to enjoy in Play-By-Play Mode.
The Standings screen provides information
that relates to the scope of the entire team. On this screen you can watch
your team rise and fall through the course of a season.
The Finances screen is a particularly important
screen, as Mogul requires you to remain economically viable while working
your way toward the championship games. Compare your financial information
to other teams here. Click on the silver tab buttons to change the data
displayed in each column.
The Leaders screen lets you know how your players
are measuring up individually against all other players. Click on any
player name to see his or her scouting report. Click on the header buttons
to change the leader lists shown.
The Headlines screen gives you highlights from selected games in a newspaper style format.
The Playoffs screen shows all post-season matchups and results. If viewed during the season, it shows the playoff picture given the current standings.
The Transactions screen lists all significant events in chronological order. This includes injuries, awards, contract signings, etc. Click and hold the buttons at the top of the screen to change which transactions are listed.
(Note that Transactions are also shown on the Scouting Report for each player).
