Return to Ripken Good (The Baltimore Orioles 2009-???)

Returning to Ripken Good (The Baltimore Orioles 2009-???)

The Orioles have not had a winning season since 1997, have not won 100 games since 1980. But this team has potential. They have young outfielders Adam Jones, Rolan Reimold, and Nick Markakis, a young Catcher named Matt Wieters, young 3rd baseman Scott Moore. The Minuses are a Rotation that has 1 player under 30, in Jeremy Guthrie, Two words Adam Eaton, Jamie walker is 37, Really only 3 minor league Pitcher that will make the Majors, in Brian Matuz, Troy Patton, and David Pauley. Rich Hill will miss most of April if not traded. This team is in seek of a Manager that can turn this team around.

Well as you know I have not had a great dynasty since Winning in St. Pete. But this will be one of my Best dynasties ever I promise. This team has great potential. Next up is goals and rules

Peter Angelos, David Trembly out! Pepsi and Cal Ripen Jr.in!

Baltimore (AP)- January 14th, 2009. Today big news out of Baltimore, Pepsi Co. has bought the Baltimore Orioles from Peter Angelos. Indra Nooyi chairman and CEO of Pepsi made the deal with Angelos. "We've always wanted to own a sports team now we do, but now Coke will probably buy the Washington Nationals, but we think we will turn this team around!" Then just hours later Cal Ripken Jr. was hired as manager. "I think he is the best player in this franchise's history, and could do great things. The GM of this team will not change." Nooyi says. Ripken said this "I wanted to be a manager I had just signed with the GCL Royals until Indra called me!" The team will now be nicke named the Pepsi Baltimore Orioles.

    Orioles-Braves Make 12-Player Trade

    Orioles get
    Jo-Jo Reyes SP (77/90) 24 Yrs. Old
    Casey Kotchman 1B (84) 26 Yrs. Old
    Martin Prado 2B (80/86) 25 Yrs. Old
Boone Logan RP (75/85) 24 Yrs. Old
    Braves Get
Cesar Izturis SS (78) 29 Yrs. Old
    Aubrey Huff 1B (83) 32 Yrs. Old
Tim Bascom SP (56/74) 24 Yrs. Old
Predo Beato SP (58/79) 22 Yrs. Old
Oliver Drake RP (59/82) 22 Yrs. Old
    Jerome Hoes 2B (52/81) 19 Yrs. Old
    Tyler Kolodny 3B (60/76) 21 Yrs. Old
Jeremy Guthrie SP (80) 29 Yrs. Old
    6.5 Million Dollars

    Why?
It's a big salary dump and we 4 player 26 yrs. old and under all 4 will start Prado will likely move to SS, Jo-Jo Likey Ace unless another trade comes. All of the prospect will never make the Show Guthrie, Huff, and Izturis are likely to do ok in Atlanta but we didn't need them. Trade good for us
