No double plays in manager/gm mode in BM 2007

A couple criticisms:

There are no double plays when u physically play a game.


You either have to control everything in this modr or you can control nothing. I thought there would be a mode where you can manage your team without having to select each pitch. im not even sure what the point of the manager mode hitting. Also, the speed of play in GM mode makes it very difficult to jump in exactly at the moment that you want to.


Given the great player database, if they can fix the bugs this game has a lot of potential.

I agree. In at least 25 ground balls, with a man on 1st, there's not a single DP among them. Every time, its simply a force at 1B, and the runner moves up from 1B to 2B.... Ugh.

I have seen doubleplays in GM mode, although I thought the same thing as you did at first.

It is hard to say for sure, but I dont think they happen frequently enough. But I have seen more than one in a game at least once and more than that I am pretty sure.

Do you guys mean no DPs in the pitch-by-pitch mode, or the GM mode?
After not even one whole game of p-b-p, I gave up and have been doing GM mode only ever since; that is where I have seen DPs.
I like the GM mode, but I wish there were a few more chances to impact the game. It is cool when I get the choice to go for an extra base, but I wish I could so even more. I havent got my strategies straightened out yet in regard to pitching, so there are times which I wish I could make pitching changes more easily from GM mode. But by the time I have figured out I want to do something the game has already moved on.
I would also like to be able to change the lineup before a game starts. I dont even know where my manager gets some of these lineups and I would like the option of changing them before the game starts.

1. If you play a game by clicking on it in the Calendar Screen, the manager shouldn't change your lineup. He only does that for simmed games where a player needs a day off, or of course for a "Live Coverage" game where the manger didn't know ahead of time that you would take over in mid-game.

3. There was an interactive "one-pitch" mode in the beta but it's still got some bugs. Will be working again soon.

The double play frequency sure has gone up, but I still think it is broken, broken the other way. It seems to me as if there are now way too many DPs. I have seen a bunch of weird 3-6-1 and 4-6-1 DPs also.

Another annoying problem I have been noticing is that on groundballs to SS, with a runner on second will result in the man on second being out and a runner on first too often. I have seen this happen 3 times in less than 10 games, has anyone else noticed this?
