    Unofficial Patch (Version 9.06)

Attached is an unofficial patch fixing several issues in the original release (Version 9.04).

It doesn't automatically install. You'll need to download it and unzip it. Then COPY BB2K7.exe OVER the 'BB2K7.exe' in your current Baseball Mogul 2007 folder (you can find this folder by choosing 'Open Game Folder' from the Help Menu inside Baseball Mogul).

The 'NewGameStadiums.csv' file has some improved stadium data so that team revenue better matches team payroll for 2006. This file overwrites the one in the 'Input' folder in your Baseball Mogul 2007 folder.

This patch SHOULD fix the following problems with the initial release (Version 9.04):

    1. Box score text fixed (extra numbers eliminated, and linescore fixed).
    2. Fixed double play frequency, both during the season and in Play-By-Play.
    3. Fixed news stories for trades involving "players for cash".
    4. "Hit and Run" ratings fixed in the skills page (you may have noticed these were "backwards", with pitchers having the highest ratings).
    5. Fixed bug where saving/loading game deleted the Transactions.
    6. Revenue projections fixed so that 2006 payrolls and budgets are a closer match.
    7. Ratings in Player Editor fixed (some were going over 100).
    8. Pitching rotations shortened in playoffs (to correctly match info in Bullpen Dialog).
    9. Trades no longer shuffle your lineups.
    10. Bug fixed that was causing way too many strikeouts in "Manager Mode".

Finally, I've added a checkbox to the League Editor called 'Hide Peak Ratings'. This is for folks running leagues that would like to be able to make all 'Peak' ratings hidden (except for the Commissioner who has a password).

I have some more in-depth issues I'm working on, but I'd like to get the above issues fixed in an OFFICIAL auto-installing patch as soon as possible. So please try this out and post your comments.

    Thanks!

    Clay

    Re: Unofficial Patch (Version 9.06)

I think the patch is much better thus far.

I haven't tried playing a play-by-play game yet, since it's late here now. But anyways good job Clay.

A few things I'd like to suggest if I can:

    1. Jason Hirsh on start up is on the Roster twice for the Astros. I think that should be fixed, so that way everyone won't have to edit rosters.

    2. When I have two speedy guys on first and second, I'd like the option to see a "Double Steal" and the option that says "Steal Third" A few times both my guys stole both bases, and another time one guy stole third, but the other stayed. I think an option with two guys on should be there.

    3. Option to Edit pitches and speed. Often or not, I see pitchers with pitches I've never heard of or seen. And some pitches throw way faster than they should, and some slower than others. I think the option to edit what they throw would benefit more realism at least for me, since I know how fast a lot of pitchers throw. Since I'm that kind of addict.

You download the zip file, and install it into your Baseball Mogul 2007 folder, overwriting the other BBM2k7.exe file.

so, double-click the file you downloaded - you'll need winzip or winrar to do that, then copy the bb2k7.exe to the c:\program files\sports mogul\baseball 2007 folder (you may want to rename the original bb2k7.exe bb2k7.bak or something); and copy newgamestadiums.csv to C:\Program Files\Sports Mogul\Baseball 2007\Input (again, create a backup of the original first).

restart your game, and the patch is applied.

I always rename the old .exe first in case there is a serious problem with the new patch.
New to Baseball Mogul? Need player pics for your historic league? Don't like the default generics? Check out my picture libraries at Baseball SimCentral.

    Clay -

Just wanted to thank you for addessing these issues so quickly. I've been a lurker on these boards for quite some time, though I have bought the past two versions. I'm really glad to see the support for this version starting so strong out of the gate and I look forward to starting my franchise now that the starting financials have been fixed!

    Clay,

Very appreciative of the patch to hide peaks, however you can still see them when on the trade screen. Players are still listed as 75/77 (for example) in the rating column if they have not peaked yet.

Any way to hide those as well? (Or use the ?? method there as well?)

    Thanks,
    Chris

Hey, one problem I encountered was when using Manager Mode, and you change pitchers mid-inning, their pitches still remain

Example: Chris Carpenter Pitching, has 4 pitches [Fastball, Curve, Change, Slider] Brad Thompson replaces him, has 2 [Fastball, Slider]. Carp's Change and Slider are still there, but you can't select them, and then remained there for the next inning, and I couldn't guess a pitch, so I had to hit finish.

I'm trying to unzip it and copy it but it is asking for a password...now what?
