Hey Bing, did you read that Sinatra tried to off himself in 1954 after his wife and he separated (according to some new book coming out)? I figured that if anyone here would know whether that was accurate or not you would.

I've heard the same thing, and I believe the story. I've read multiple biographies written about him, and he supposedly attempted suicide twice.

They even made light of it in The Rat Pack when Peter Lawford (Angus Macfadyen) was telling Rocky Cooper (Veronica Cartwright) how crazy Frank was and offered to tell her the gory details about it.

    And now...

It seems that most great musicians are tortured souls (or on something because of it ).

    I love this song. lot.
There's a shadow just behind me,
    shrouding every step I take,
    making every promise empty,
    pointing every finger at me.
    Waiting like a stalking butler
    who upon the finger rests.
Murder now the path is must we
just because the son has come.

    Jesus, won't you ****ing whistle
something but the past and done? (x2)

Why can we not be sober?
I just want to start this over.
    Why can't we dream forever?
I just want to start things over.
    Strange days have found us
