Football Mogul 20 adds historical rosters and league configurations from 1951 to 1969 (in addition to the seasons from 1970 through 2019 that were already included). Here's a screenshot from my most recent test, using the actual schedule from the 1959 season. As they did in real life, the Baltimore Colts finished 9-3, earning a spot in the NFL Title Game against the New York Giants. You can see that the Giants are favored by 2.5 points to win the championship. In real life, the underdog Colts beat New York 31-16 with a stellar 4th quarter performance by Johnny Unitas.

I'd assumed it started at 1970 because of extreme anti-Packers bias, haha.

I am VERY excited by this development. I have purchased 3 different iterations of Football Mogul, going back to when the game was still sold on CD ROM. Being able to play in the era of Johnny Unitas, Jim Brown and Bobby Layne is AWESOME!

How about the '60s with Butkis, Nitschke, the Fearsome Foursome, and more?

That is an awesome piece of news to learn. Being able to play with powerhouse teams from the 1950s and 1960s will assure that I purchase this year's edition.

Does this mean you have provided historical schedules for each season? That would be excellent if you did. Giving the option for historical or non-historical would be good as well.

I currently only have a few of the historical schedules included, and the game uses those as templates for other seasons.

Thanks for answering my question Clay. Will there be an update adding historical schedules (for all seasons) in the future?

But every year . Looking forward to the historic addition precisely because it will include the 59 Colts, arguably the best team ever. Note earlier seasons were shorter magnifying bad bounce losses.

Will this version add expansion teams, such as the 1976 Buccaneers and Seahawks? That is something missing from the previous version.

Was automatic expansion (or a player option for automatic expansion) and an expansion draft added for this version?

That salary is not in line with what players made in the 50s. I don't think Unitas made that at any point in his career, but certainly not in 1959. Is the game reflecting current salary structure while supposedly being in the 1950s?

Clay, I have been a loyal buyer of Baseball Mogul , and in the past, I've purchased Football Mogul. I'm happy with the addition of the new seasons, but I can't buy Football Mogul again unless the actual schedules are included, or at least there is an option to schedule individual games within a specific season

I have found a couple of problems with the new version. 1. Frank Gifford was drafted out of USC not a JC. 2. I started a season in 1951 and am now in the 1952 season. I have played 2 games into the '52 season and here is the list for the All Time Receptions Leaders 1. Saenz, Eddie (Was) 1,318 2. Trippi, Charley (StL) 1,170 3. Dudley, Bill (Was) 1,169 4. Strzykalski, Johnny (SF) 1,169 5.Pritchard, Bosh (NYG) 1,114 6. Nussbaumer, Bob (GB) 1,019 7. Hoerner, Dick (LA) 919 8. Jones, Dub (Cle) 820 9. Motley, Marion (Cle) 799. Not only are all of those numbers wrong StL didn't have a team until 1960 and Marion Motley was in is rookie season in 1952. Please fix quickly Clay
